Members of the 77 Lane community off Waltham Park Road in St Andrew on Thursday took to the street to demonstrate the shooting and injuring of a resident by members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

The circumstances that led to the shooting of the male resident, 30-year-old Warren Gayle, are still unclear. However, according to the residents, the police’s action was unjust and they accused the cops of unprofessional behaviour after the shooting, which they believe was aimed at covering the indiscretion of the lawmen.

The residents in the protest held placards and chanted a cry for justice. Loop News was at the scene. Watch the video below.
