WATCH: How young Jamaicans feel about upcoming general elections

In recent general elections in Jamaica, voter turnout has been very low, with around half of the electorate opting not to exercise their democratic right to vote.

Young people have been particularly guilty of not casting a ballot at election time, with many citing reasons such as not being convinced by either of the two main parties or just not being interested in politics.

Loop News took to the streets to speak with young persons about whether they will cast their ballots in the September 3 general elections. Watch the video by Marlon Reid below.
