Watch: Bog Walk-based school gets internet service from Ready TV

Ready TV is making good on its commitment to provide internet to 100 schools in rural communities across the island.

The company has entered into a partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information to provide internet at the schools that have not been served by traditional providers due to accessibility issues.

Ready TV can provide the service in remote communities as the service is provided via satellite instead of cables.

Speaking following the installation of the service at Tulloch Primary in Bog Walk, St Catherine recently, the company’s co- founder Chris Dehring, said Ready TV will continue to roll out the service in remote communities and schools across the island over the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Karl Samuda said the initiative is in keeping with a thrust by the Ministry to better equip schools.

He said the provision of reliable internet service is critical to schools and school communities, especially given the disruptions being faced as a result of COVID-19.
