The National Works Agency (NWA), in partnership with the National Housing Trust (NHT), is undertaking a $114 million road rehabilitation project along the Tucker main road in St James.

The project, which is funded by the NHT, is being carried out on the section of the corridor between Taylor Avenue and the Friendship community.

The roadway serves as a link to communities such as John’s Hall and Lottery.

The project involves drainage improvement, the reshaping and stabilisation of the roadway, road resurfacing and the construction of retaining walls along sections of the thoroughfare.

The project follows recent repairs of the nearby 1.5-kilometre stretch of roadway between the Fairfield Bridge and Taylor Avenue.
