NCB announces positive COVID-19 case at its Morant Bay branch
Created : 16 September 2020
National Commerical Bank (NCB) Jamaica is advising that an employee at its Morant Bay branch in St Thomas has tested for the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Despite the positive result, the bank will not close the branch.
“The Ministry of Health and Wellness was consulted and they have advised that the branch does not need to be closed based on their assessment of the risk, given the period of time that has elapsed since the staff was last in office and other considerations,” NCB said in a press release on Wednesday.
NCB further said it has completed deep cleaning and sanitisation of the location and continue to conduct daily cleaning and sanitization of all locations in keeping with its COVID-19 protocols.
It is encouraging customers to take advantage of the bank’s digital channels to complete their transactions, instead of going into a branch. These include:
iABMs at our 24/7 Bank on the Go – to withdraw and deposit cash, deposit cheques, pay NWC, JPS, Flow and NCB credit card bills, and more
