Financial services institute donates to Best Care Foundation

The Jamaica Institute of Financial Services (JIFS) recently visited the Best Care Foundation and gave a donation of $150,000 towards its Special Education School. 

This amount was donated from the charity efforts of the JIFS Finance Club held on November 21, 2019, at the NCB Corporate Wellness Centre. 

The event dubbed “Fashion in Finance for Charity” had managers and executives modelling pieces from various Fashion 911, Lee’s Fifth Avenue as well as their personal collection and included donations made by various institutions from the financial services sector.

The Chairman of the Best Care Foundation, Orville Johnson, who received the cheque from JIFS Chairman Dr Rickert Allen, expressed sincere gratitude for the donation and indicated that it came at an appropriate time.

With JIFS’ commitment to learning and development, Dr Allen indicated JIFS’ delight in being able to assist in this way to this area of special education need. 

Best Care Special Education School is a centre for special needs children diagnosed with mild to severe intellectual and physical disabilities, whose motto is to provide quality education to special needs children and support to their families, helping them to prepare for happy and fulfilled lives, to be the best they can be.
