National Coffee Day may now be a figment of the imagination for many. But, for the buzz-seekers at Café Blue, it’s just getting started.

Local brands joined the global coffee-infused activations to inform customers and introduce coffee enthusiasts to new and alternative coffee products.

In recognition of the day, Supligen partnered with Café Blue to provide coffee and Supligen lovers with a trio of cold brew beverages, and then some.

Loop Lifestyle checked into the new Café Blue (at 141 Constant Spring Road) for the unofficial reveal of another new product.

Conversations with Coffee – a pre-recorded talk show featuring varying personalities and popular celebs who discuss hot topics, from dating in Jamaica to men, and mental health – conversations for millennials, and more.

The four-episode-long series launched on Saturday and runs until October 31 and guests include Wayne Marshall, Dutty Berry, Romone ‘OneRomone’ Robinson, and a mix of other popular faces.

‘We thought about reviving the brand…we want consumers to love Supligen in a new way, and we wanted to connect to a new audience as well.’

Jameson confirmed Supligen’s plans to improve the appeal of the products to instead market the multi-purpose appeal of the brand.

Indeed the re-invigorated Supligen is more than just a sports drink or healthy lifestyle brand but is quite a multi-purpose food drink. ‘Supligen is now a lifestyle brand’, she said.

Though the Café Blue-Supligen partnership started in alignment with the international holiday, the TV-show and new products are available at all locations through to October 30.

The limited-edition coffee refreshers are only served cold, all contain Supligen, and are available in these three flavours:

Supligen Hazelnut Cafeccino

Supligen Blue Mountain Trail

Supligen French Ice

While the Supligen Blue Mountain Trail is a blended drink, the others (Hazelnut Cafeccino and French Ice) are poured over ice.

And the demand is growing, ‘We ran out of Supligen over the weekend, sales of the new products have been going very well, and customers are sharing all over social media, so that’s great,’ according to Café Blue’s Marketing and Operations Manager Janine Insang.

Seprod’s Media Executive Chelsea Jameson believes Café Blues trusted brand identity and the fact that Café Blue is the premier local coffee brand, were among the reasons for the partnership.

Currently, there are no other Jamaican coffee shake products, Café Blue items are more affordable, and there’s likely to be a suite of innovative products and more new Supligen flavours on the market.
