Police investigators are now at a crime scene in August Town, St Andrew, where two men, said to be brothers, were fatally shot Wednesday morning.

Details are unclear at this time, but Loop News understands that the brothers were murdered at Peyton Place, just on the outskirts of Hermitage in the war-torn community. The men were found suffering with multiple gunshot wounds.

August Town has been plagued by violence over the past year as warring gangs engaged in regular skirmishes in 2019. According to the residents, the latest killings are part of a deadly gang feud in the area. The community has seen sporadic flare-ups in recent weeks.

Last week, a 44 year-old disabled woman Susan Bogle was shot dead, reportedly during a running gun battle between gunmen and members of a joint military/police patrol in the Bryce Hill community of August Town.

Two men were shot and killed in a four hour span in separate incidents on March 30.

In January 2020, an 18-year-old, Lavern Edwards, was shot and killed on Escarpment Road. According to the August Town police, in that incident, Edwards was shot nine times by hoodlums.
