Brother killed, 'Joe Grine' on the run

The Westmoreland police are on the hunt for a man, who allegedly shot his brother to death in the parish Thursday morning.

On the run is Obrien Ellis, who is also called Joe Grine.

Ellis is being sought for the murder of 44-year-old Steadman Sterling of Farm Pen, Westmoreland.

The incident occurred around 7:30, during a dispute at the family home in Farm Pen.

Ellis is accused of throwing a stone at Sterling before pulling a firearm and shooting him in the chest.

Sterling was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Westmoreland police who are investigating, are asking anyone who know of Ellis' whereabouts to contact them immediately.

Ellis is considered armed and dangerous.
