122 new COVID-19 cases within last 24 hours

Jamaica recorded 122 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The new cases bring the total number on record for the island to 4,164.

Over the same period, recoveries increased by 17, bringing total recoveries to 1,180.

The country is now managing 2,858 active cases nationally, including 25 moderately ill patients and eight critically ill patients.

Of the newly confirmed cases, there are 66 males and 56 females, with ages ranging from 11 months to 88 years.

The cases were recorded in Kingston and St Andrew (49), St Catherine (30), Manchester (27), St Mary (nine), Clarendon (four) and St Ann (three).
