The police are advising members of the public to be on the lookout for the sale of watermelon in nearby communities and parishes to a farm in Congo Hole district, Southfield, St Elizabeth, from which the produce was stolen between Tuesday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 12.

The produce is believed to be unhealthy for human consumption because of the fact that it was sprayed with the toxic chemicals, ‘Pegasus’ and ‘Dithane’ shortly before being stolen.

The police said as a result of the development, members of the public are being asked to be vigilant when purchasing the fruit.
