Sizzla and Govana for SDC Wray & Nephew T20 Cricket finals

Dancehall veteran Sizzla and fast-rising star Govana are set to perform at the Social Development Commission (SDC) Wray and Nephew National Community T20 Cricket Competition closing show this Sunday, August 25, 2019. The performances will close out four months of sizzling cricket and close the celebrations for the 13th National Community T20 Cricket champions.

The final showcase at the Noranda Sports Complex in Discovery Bay, St Ann, will host other performances from artiste Dystans, J Blacks and Chinchilla in what is guaranteed to be a spirited show. Before the show, however, patrons will be able to enjoy a sharing cricket starting at 9:00 am with the SDC Masters playing a T10 match between St Elizabeth Masters and Ultimate St Ann, then the SDC Female T10 match between Talented Blazers and Portland All Stars.

Govana

At 2:00 pm, the cricket fans will watch as Westmoreland’s Orange Hill Cricket Club face St Mary’s Gayle Cricket Club in a T20 Finals for the grand prize of $1.2 million. 

In addition to the exciting cricket, Wray and Nephew promises a spectacular day for the spectators and ardent cricket fans. Over the season, patrons were able to enjoy specially priced Wray Rum mixes and freebie fanfare gear like thunder sticks, horns, T-shirts among other goodies and giveaways — this Sunday will be no different

The Wray & Nephew Music Machine, their disc jockeys and hostesses along with Curry Goat deals, games, prizes, and other entertainment throughout the day will give cricket fans a full day of activities to enjoy.

Patrons still have the chance at winning instant cash prizes including $6,000 for catching a ‘six’ that makes it to the cricket stands. Players too have an opportunity to receive instant cash prizes, as batsmen can win a $10,000 cash prize for every ball that hits the inflated Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum Bottle. 

Entry fee for the SDC Wray and Nephew Cricket finals is $1,000 for adults.
