Man booked for stabbing death of ex-girlfriend in St Bess last Sunday

The police have charged the man who allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death in Brinkley district in St Elizabeth last Sunday night.

The accused, 26-year-old Jermaine Miller of Hopeton district in Hatfield, Manchester, has been charged with murder and burglary.

He is to appear in court later this week.

It was reported that the now deceased, 27-year-old Nevia Sinclair, had ended a relationship with Miller and returned to her parent's home a week before her death.

Further reports are that on Sunday, January 12, at about 11.50 pm, Sinclair was home with her parents when the parents heard screaming and when they went to check, they saw Miller running from the house.

They subsequently found Sinclair in a pool of blood with stab wounds.

She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Miller was subsequently handed over to the police by his father for questioning.
