Get familiar with the name Amber Pinkerton and her work in photography as the rising Jamaican photog is steadily making waves in global fashion photography.

Pinkerton, a London-based, Jamaican-born photographer, migrated over three years ago to start her career in photography.

Since then, the 20-something has experienced the kind of recognition many photographers globally only dream of.

Pinkerton, however, remains humbled by her successes, and though she’s inching closer to the limelight, is not fazed by hype.

Most recently, she has been shortlisted for the annual Photo Vogue Festival for an All in this together-titled exhibit, the scouting project that’s open to every photographic genre, from fashion to photojournalism, art and so on.

Photo Vogue is ‘like an extended family that counts around 180,000 artists from across the world’, according to Vogue Italia who share a passion for photography, the desire to help each other and grow together.

Photo Vogue Festival is scheduled to take place in November, in the hope that by then we will be able to hug each other and share a physical space, and not just a virtual one.

‘All in this together’ is the title we have chosen for this Open Call and the next edition of the Festival’, read a release from Vogue Italia.

And, Pinkerton is sure to be showcased among the greats in photography also handpicked for the exhibition.

Other artists include Alice Zoo, Bettina Pittaluga, Cécile Smetana, and Daniel Jack Lyons, to name a few.
