Jamaican students top 14 of 35 CSEC subjects this year

Jamaican students have emerged tops in 14 of 35 subjects in the 2017 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations. 

The Jamaican successes included English language, mathematics and information technology.

CSEC is done mainly by students in fifth form before moving on to the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE). At that level, Jamaica students came out on top in 21 of the approximately 70 units that were offered.

Below is a list of the top-placed Jamaican students in the CSEC examinations.
