Jamaica records 71 more cases, no new COVID deaths

Jamaica recorded 71 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths on Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
It brings the total number of COVID-19 cases on record for the island to 8,445. Meanwhile, recoveries increased by 14 on Monday, bringing total recoveries to 4,016.
The overall death tally from the coronavirus in Jamaica remains at 174.
Of the newly confirmed cases, 40 are females and 31 are males, with ages ranging from two to 91 years. The cases were recorded in St Catherine (20), Kingston and St Andrew (15), St Mary (eight), St James (six), Clarendon (four), St Ann (four), St Elizabeth (four), Manchester (three), Westmoreland (three), St Thomas (two), Hanover (one) and Portland (one).
There are 22 moderately ill patients and 10 critically ill patients among the 4,142 active cases now under observation in Jamaica.
