Gary Subratie saddles triple to steal show at Caymanas Park
Trainer Gary Subratie dominated Saturday's 11-race card at Caymamas Park with three winners, back-to-back victories at five furlongs straight, CLEOPATRA'S CHILD and BOLD AFLAIR in the eighth and ninth races, respectively, before closing the programme with last year's Jamaica Derby runner-up, SENTIENT.
CLEOPATRA'S CHILD, disqualified after passing the post in front two weeks ago when jockey Dane Dawkins weighed in short of the declared 120lb, returned to make all to beat UNKNOWN SOLDIER in 1:00.1.
BOLD AFLAIR, running widest on the fast stands' side, made all to outsprint another course specialist and former stablemate, KD FLYER, as well as CAMPESINO and CRYPTOCURRENCY, posting 59.0 for the distance.
Meanwhile, SENTIENT, down in class, running among $1 million optional claimers, ran past KINGSMAN a furlong out to win by two and three-quarter lengths at seven and a half furlongs, clocking 1:31.2.
Racing continues at Caymamas Park on Saturday.
