Dane Nelson reels off another five winners at Caymanas Park

Dane Nelson on Saturday rode his second five-timer, on his annual winter break from Canada, dominating the 10-race card along with trainer Anthony Nunes for whom he rode three winners, including 2-1 chance PRINCESS AVA in the Seymour 'Foggy' Mullings Memorial at a mile.

Nelson and Nunes opened the 10-race card with back-to-back winners, 1-2 favourites, GOD OF LOVE and the two-year-old filly, ABOVE AND BEYOND.

Nelson landed his third with United States-bred two-year-old, CRAFTY AND READY, before using late-closing PRINCESS AVA to chase and beat 3-5 favourite, SENTIENT, winning by two and a half lengths for her second straight victory.

Nelson closed his five-timer with JUST TRICK ME, who made all at four furlongs straight in the eighth event.

Nunes' three-timer pushed him $7m clear of 18-time defending champion, Wayne DaCosta, whose lone winner was 10-1 outsider, PRINCESS ANNIE.

Racing continues at Caymanas Park on Wednesday.
