Students sitting the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) exams, will have free access to online text for one month.

Oxford University Press has made this temporary offer to assist students who are being affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

More than 200 digital books will be available during the period.
COVID-19 has impacted schools across the world, with Caribbean countries being severely affected as many schools in the region being closed from earlier this year.

The new academic year, which would have already started, has been delayed.

Ministries of education across the region are looking at a blended teaching method when the school year begins. This would have some students being in the physical class and others learning virtually, in a rotating method.

According to Oxford University Press, the free access to online textbooks being provided is to support teaching and learning at home, which will end September 20.

The books will be accessible at http://bit.ly/CXCTextbooks by teachers, students and parents.
