Bag found reportedly led to mob killing of suspect in child’s murder

The man who was attacked and killed in Sterling Castle, St Andrew after he was accused of killing seven-year-old Shante Skyers, has been identified.

On the heels of his name being released, new information has also emerged as to the basis for the deadly attack on the accused man.

Miguel Williams, a 27- year-old resident of Sterling Castle, Red Hills was attacked on Wednesday and killed, then his body was set ablaze.

Reports are that he is believed to be of unsound mind.

The police said Williams was at his home when he was attacked by members of an angry mob.

Sources said a bag that was believed to have belonged to the murdered child was found at the premises where Williams was attacked.

The decomposing body of the Red Hills Primary School student was discovered in the Sterling Castle Heights area by a search party that was being led by the police on Tuesday, after extensive searches over a five-day period by groups of persons, including residents.
