For football fans in Jamaica, it was a fitting end to a great World Cup as they crowded viewing parties at bars across the Corporate Area to watch France defeat Croatia 4-2 in an exciting finale.

After a nail-biting first half which ended with France leading 2-1 despite Croatia arguably playing the better football, 'Les Bleus' lifted their game in the second segment to open up an insurmountable lead.

After the final whistle, on a rain-soaked turf, the youthful French players took turns sliding on the field while holding the World Cup trophy tight.

It was a joyous occasion and football fans across Jamaica shared in the experience through the big screens at viewing parties. Loop News visited Barbican Beach Bar and Usain Bolt's Tracks and Records. Check out the gallery for highlights.
