Government offices are expected to reopen today in Dominica as the Tropical Storm warning for the island has been discontinued.

Dominica experienced heavy rain and winds as a result of the passage of Hurricane Irma.

Government offices and schools were closed on Tuesday in preparation for the storm. Schools, however, will remain closed until Thursday.

Fishermen have been cautioned from going out to sea.

The island suffered minimal damage from the high winds.
