Woman remanded for gruesome murder of man whose body was cut in two
A woman who is facing a murder charge for having allegedly conspired with one of her children’s father to brutally kill another of her children’s father, was remanded in custody when she appeared in court on Thursday.
The accused is alleged to have lure the now victim to a hotel room that she occupied with the co-accused last June, where the victim, Patrick Hazel, was attacked and stabbed and chopped multiple times, with his body being eventually cut in two and left inside the bathroom of the room where the attack took place.
Nikiesha Robinson faced the gruesome allegations in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court, where the matter was scheduled for April 6 in the Committal Court.
The police reported that on June 16, at approximately 8:30 am, Robinson and one of her children’s father, checked into the hotel on Gretna Green Avenue in the Kingston 11 area.
The report said sometime after 2:00 p.m., Hazel went to the hotel, where Robinson and her alleged accomplice attacked and brutally killed him.
Allegations are that the attack drew the attention of workers at the hotel when shouts of “murder” were heard coming from the room, but when checked by the staff, Robinson and her accomplice indicated at the door, that they were only playing inside the room.
The two alleged perpetrators left the room that day, and the next day a janitor discovered the body inside the bathroom of the room where the distress sounds had been noted the day before.
Robinson was taken into police custody on June 21, and was subsequently positively identified at an identification parade, following which she was charged with murder.
Her alleged accomplice, however, remains on the run.
