Woman killed, several injured in Clarendon crash

One person is dead and a number of others injured after a two-vehicle crash just outside May Pen, Clarendon on Thursday afternoon.

Reports are that about 3 30 pm, a taxi was traveling along the main road between Freeport and May Pen, in the vicinity of a place dubbed ‘Rasta Corner’, when the vehicle collided head-on with a black Toyota Sprinter motor car that was heading in the opposite direction.

One woman – who was said to be sitting in the front passenger seat of the taxi - died on the spot while seven others were reportedly rushed to hospital.

At least three of the injured people are said to be in serious condition. More details to come.
