Woman held in connection with fatal stabbing of man in Falmouth
The Trelawny police have taken a woman into custody following the fatal stabbing of a man during a domestic dispute in Falmouth on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Brian Williams of a Falmouth address.
Reports are that about mid-afternoon, Williams and a female had an altercation along Lower Parade Street in the parish capital, during which a sharp object was used to stab Williams.
He was taken to the Falmouth Public General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Members of the Falmouth Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are investigating the incident.
At the time of his death, Williams was said to have been on bail on a gun-related charge.
The fatal stabbing comes on the heels of the shooting death of 25-year-old Andre Bodden by unknown assailants travelling in a motorcar in Falmouth on Tuesday night.
A female was also shot and injured in the attack.
The police reported that about 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Bodden, who was also called ‘Blacks’, and who was of a Duncans address in the parish, was standing along Newton Street in Falmouth, when two men alighted from a white Nissan Tiida motorcar which was driven up, and started firing a barrage of gunshots.
Bodden and a woman were hit and later taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead and the woman was admitted for treatment.
