Will In Charge, She's A Maneater showdown in Lady Geeta Trophy
Created : 20 April 2019
Will In Charge with jockey Robert Halledeen after winning the Diamond Mile in December.
Horse of the Year WILL IN CHARGE has the handicaps, a better draw and speed in his favour against SHE’S A MANEATER in Saturday’s six-furlong Lady Geeta Trophy at Caymanas Park.
Out for the first time since his dramatic victory in December’s Diamond Mile, WILL IN CHARGE is in receipt of two pounds from SHE’S A MANEATER, who will carry topweight 126lb and break from the inside draw in the seven-horse field.
SHE’S A MANEATER had bolted at the start of the Diamond Mile and will face WILL IN CHARGE for the first time since her third-place finish to the six-year-old horse in October’s seven-furlong Gold Cup, allowing him seven pounds.
Though classy and versatile, five-year-old mare SHE’S A MANEATER will find it hard to get to expected leader CHACE THE GREAT before WILL IN CHARGE pounces.
The Lady Geeta Trophy is the fifth of 10 events scheduled. Robert Halledeen is astride WILL IN CHARGE for trainer Robert Pearson, going up against Omar Walker aboard champion trainer Wayne DaCosta’s SHE’S A MANEATER.
