Will in Charge holds off Seeking My Dream to win Chairman's Trophy

WILL IN CHARGE turned back SEEKING MY DREAM in Saturday's Chairman's Trophy to win the seven and a half furlong race with topweight 126lb at odds of 9-2.

WILL IN CHARGE chased SIEMPRE BUENO and MONEY MAGNET down the backstretch with SEEKING MY DREAM racing close in fourth.

Jockey Robert Halledeen sent WILL IN CHARGE to the lead coming off the turn but was attacked by SEEKING MY DREAM at the top of the straight.

However, WILL IN CHARGE responded well to turn back SEEKING MY DREAM, winning the seven and a half furlong event in 1:31.2 by a length and a half.

Leading rider, apprentice Anthony Thomas, rode a four-timer on the 11-race card, extending his lead in the jockeys' championship to 11 over Shane Ellis.

Racing continues at Caymanas Park on Saturday.
