Energy Minister Dr Andrew Wheatley is the latest to be hit with the 'Wakanda fever' as he hosted a post sectoral debate party inspired by the style in the hit Marvel movie, Black Panther.

In fact, Wheatley arrived at Gordon House donning a bespoke grey suit, lavender shirt and paisley tie for his debate under the theme 'Energize, Innovate and Empower for National Growth'.

Wheatly Wakanda Party

His attire, while presenting an air of sophistication was a mere footnote to his entrance. He arrived in fine style, stepping out of a green Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe, it was obvious to all that he did indeed take a few style notes from Black Panther’s King T’Challa on how to make an entrance as he was escorted by ladies dressed in traditional Ankara print.

Post-debate, Minister Wheatley continued the Afrocentric approach to his presentation by hosting a 'Wakanda Forever' cocktail party. See highlights below.
