Wellness with Natalie: Welcome to Feel Good Fridays!
Integrative Health Coach, Natalie Murray
Feeling good has to do with so much! Feeling good is a state of mind, body and soul. It’s honoring all three. Feeling good is having aspects of your life in alignment. Feeling good is releasing stress. Feeling good is a positive outlook. Feeling good is gratitude. Feeling good is stable hormones.
As a health coach, my mandate is to help you feel good...heck I want you to feel your best!
So, welcome my peeps to my newest column “Feel Good Fridays!” Every week, we’re going to be exploring new topics to address the aspects of your life that will contribute to you feeling your healthiest, happiest self.
To start off, let me tell you a little about me (in case you didn't already know). So this is the part where I get a little vulnerable with you. Here goes.... I've not always felt as good as I do now. There have been periods in my life where I’ve been overweight, felt insecure and uncomfortable. There have been periods in my life where I have not enjoyed my work and I felt the fear and indecision associated with that.
There have been periods in my life where I have not felt good about my romantic relationships and I’ve felt trapped by both the desire and inability to fix and make things work. I've felt the overwhelming feeling of being a mother of three (now essentially a single mother of three); juggling a developing career with the desire to be the best mother for my children and the reality of making ends meet. I've rocked the cliche: “Feel the fear and do it anyway”.
Then on the other hand, I’ve been stunned into inaction by fear.
All in all during my 44 years on this earth, I’ve been blessed (yes blessed, despite the challenges) with enough experience to recognize what makes me feel good and what makes me not. Couple my experience with my training as a health coach where we address food, lifestyle, mindset, I'm comfortable in saying that I have the tools to guide you towards feeling awesome too.
We’re going to have a good time together in this column. Hopefully, little by little, you will implement some of the strategies, tips and tricks that we talk about and, overtime, your feel good meter will go up!
You don't have to be in the doldrums to start off with us on this escapade; you can already be feeling awesome! But I don't know anybody that’s ever said: “I don't want to feel better than I do now.”
You can always have more alignment and can always feel better, you can always allow more gratitude, more happiness and love within. This world sure gives us a lot of avenues to detract us away from our healthiest and happiest selves. So we’re in this together putting forward a concerted effort to be and to feel good.
Welcome to Feel Good Fridays where we will be silly, quirky, serious and sultry. Before we say goodbye for this week, I'd love to hear from you. What are some of the things that make you feel good? What are some of the things you struggle with?
