Created : 14 June 2019
The body of late Prime Minister, Edward Phillip George Seaga, laid in state this week in the community of Tivoli Gardens where the longest serving Member of Parliament laid a foundation for the people to build on.
Seaga, who took the community from being a slum without the social amenities needed for human development to one which has produced sterling sons and daughters of Jamaica, was hailed by the residents as they paid tribute.
He died on May 29 at the age of 89 years and his legacy cannot be hidden under a bushel. He served as Member of Parliament for West Kingston for 43 years.
