WATCH: Kingston 8 gets a Café Blue!
Patissier Nadine Burie (l) and coffee enthusiast Nadia Sharp enjoy their Café Blue beverages.
Café Blue, the home of Jamaica’s most exquisite gourmet cafes, opened its 7th coffee house on the island on Wednesday.
The new spot is located at Shop #17, Super Valu Towne Centre on the corner of Hillman and Constant Spring roads.
Despite the unfortunate impact COVID-19 has had on their Rose Hall, Montego Bay outlet – Café Blue’s managing director Jason Sharp believes the timing is perfect.

Location, location, location and a new, attractive space, combined with the storied retail experience expected from the Super Valu Group were among the reasons for the addition.
Loop Lifestyle popped in for a mid-morning coffee break on Wednesday. See gallery here.
On the inside, a spread of high-, and low-end hot and cold coffee beverages and freshly prepared breakfast and lunch items were laid out.
‘We’re new to Kingston 8, so we want to ensure all our customers have a completely different experience and a good one…' Sharp mentioned.
'We’ve added the chocolate line... we manufacture our own chocolate using Jamaican Cocoa, to add another dimension.'
In addition to chocolate snacks – previously introduced – customers can now purchase truffles and pralines – ‘sweets to enjoy while having a cup of coffee,’ Sharp added.
These include a chocolate line that’s only available at the Constant Spring outlet, and summer specials: the Cookie n Cream frappe, Blue Mountain Lemonade, and an Iced Mochatte.
And, with the award-winning patissier Nadine Burie on hand, the team reimagines ‘the fresh flavours of summer’ with artisanal chocolate.
They can also experience ‘the best of both worlds’, according to Sharp with Blue Mountain coffee and chocolate from the Jamaican Cocoa.
‘It’s a really amazing combination,’ he added.
Naturally, Café Blue touts Brand Jamaica by supporting local artisans.
The 1600-sq-ft café is decked out with MaraMadeDesigns furniture and accessories, and the conversation piece – a 16’ by 4’ watercolour diptych by Fiona Godfrey.
The commissioned work ‘depicts the ‘Café Blue’ story’, director Jackie Sharp told Loop Lifestyle.
Perhaps, it’s time for your coffee break. Café Blue Constant Spring is located at Shop #17, 144 Constant Spring Road.
Opening hours are Mondays to Saturdays from 7 am to 7 pm and, on Sundays, from 8 am to 6 pm.
