Chairman of the National Labour Day Planning Committee, Minister Olivia Grange has commended the Caribbean Cement Company and Jamaica Pre-Mix Limited for partnering to clean sidewalks at three parks in Kingston and St Andrew.

The companies repurposed three concrete mixer trucks to dispense a soapy mixture, which was used to wash sidewalks at the Nelson Mandela Park in Half-Way Tree, the St William Grant’s Park in downtown, Kingston and Papine Square in St Andrew

Speaking at the Nelson Mandela Park on Sunday, May 24, Grange said the efforts were timely given the public health concerns due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
