At least three persons and a toddler escaped serious injuries on Wednesday morning after the driver of a tractor lost control of the heavy-duty vehicle in the vicinity of Old Hope Road and Mountain View Avenue in St Andrew.

Eyewitness report that the tractor was travelling along Old Hope Road when the driver seemingly lost control and forklifted a Toyota Carina motor car before crashing into a section of the wall at a Texaco Gas Station.

The driver of the Carina then fell from his vehicle, which was still trapped inside the bucket of the tractor.

A Toyota Vitz, being driven by a woman with a baby on board, was also hit during the accident. Glass splinters reportedly entered the woman’s eyes, while her baby was unhurt.

Meanwhile, a driver of a motorbike said he fled his motorcycle after realizing that the tractor would not stop.

The driver of the Carina was taken to hospital, while the female driver was assisted by ambulance medics who later arrived on the scene.
