A St Thomas bus operator has gone public in calling for governmental action to stop what he said are hordes of St Catherine residents who are said to be fleeing that parish which has been placed under a coronavirus (COVID-19)-related lockdown, into St Thomas.

Asking the Government and the two Members of Parliament (MPS) for St Thomas for help to save the parish from the negative impact of the presence of the fleeing St Catherine residents, bus operator Winston Thomas, popularly called ‘Tanic’, said there is concern in St Thomas, which has so far seemingly not factored among the 105 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 nationally, about the prospects for maintaining that kind of record amidst the ongoing infiltration from St Catherine.

He also called on St Thomas residents to help to contain the situation by providing information on the sudden influx of persons into the parish.

Watch the video below of ‘Tanic’s public appeal on behalf of St Thomas.
