Incarcerated dancehall deejay, Vybz Kartel, has been discharged from the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) and is back at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre.
The artiste was discharged on Monday after a week in the health facility for treatment for a reported kidney infection.
After reportedly having the privilege of a visit from his parents, including his mother after some six years of separation from her, due to his incarceration, Kartel was dispatched back to Tower Street with medication for his improved ailment.
He is serving a life sentence on a murder conviction, for which he has to serve 35 years before becoming eligible for parole.
He was convicted along with three other men in 2013, for the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams in Havendale, St Andrew.
Their appeal is scheduled to be heard in February of next year.
