The Rita Marley Foundation’s Public Speaking competition will be held next Friday, February 14 inside the Main Library at the University of the West Indies Mona.

The competition has attracted talented high school participants, vying for the top prize of $50,000 and hoping to hone their speaking skills.

The first round will have the contestants making presentations on a thesis that is already known to them, with those who advance beyond, getting an unannounced topic that they will have to deliver to impress the judges.

Loop News caught up with some of the contestants recently at the Bob Marley Museum on Hope Road, St Andrew. Watch the video to see what they had to say.
