China Harbour Engineering Company workers were forced to remove a section of the recently-installed Jersey barrier along Constant Spring Road in St Andrew on Monday.

This after an embarrassing mix-up left a freshly-painted pedestrian crossing leading straight into the concrete barrier.

The foul-up led to more accusations from members of the public that pedestrians were an afterthought in the ongoing road upgrade project.
