Opposition Leader Dr Peter Phillips has decried what he said is the unequal access to quality education among public schools.

Speaking to students during the People's National Party's tour of western Jamaica last week, Phillips noted: "There is a view that some schools give a better quality education than other schools - and if you go to the name brand schools, your life set; and if you don't go to the name brand schools, your corner dark

"It shouldn't be that way. We need to fix it, so that whatever school you go, you are certain that you will get a good quality of education," Phillips said.

The PNP kicked off its island-wide listening tour last week. Watch the video.
