Member of Parliament for Eastern St Andrew, Fayval Williams is appealing for commuters to exercise patience as efforts are intensified to complete work in the Mona Road Rehabilitation Project over the next few weeks. 

The work is intended to reduce chronic flooding on Mona Road. 

Williams said the work will see improvement to the drainage system on Mona Road; installation of curb walls; road reconstruction and asphalt overlay.

The road work began at the end of April and is expected to be completed by September. 

During an inspection of the work this week, Williams commended efforts of the contractor and appealed to motorists to use alternate routes where possible.
