With 14 million pounds of bananas in production per year, Jamaica Producers (JP) Group has sought to share in the fruits of its labour with schoolchildren.

Under the JP St Mary’s Breakfast Programme the local company is providing nutritious and affordable options for schools and enhancing nutrition education based on green bananas.

It has also offered the energy-packed fruit to local schools at subsidized rates.
