Daphne Green, the mother of Constable Nicaldo Green, is yet to come to terms with the loss of her son.

The 29-year-old police officer was gunned down shortly after arriving at his Portmore, St Catherine home on Tuesday night.

“Good pickney, a mannerable son,” a grief-stricken Daphne Green told Loop News on Tuesday morning.

“Mi can’t believe. Mi seh him nuh dead, a lie dem ah tell. Oh God!”

Reports are that Nicaldo Green, a constable assigned to the Stadium Police Station in the St Andrew Central Division, was attacked and killed at his home in 8 West, Greater Portmore about 10:10 pm.

His attackers also reportedly robbed his licensed firearm.

Daphne Green said she last spoke to her son on Saturday morning, when he said he would probably visit her next weekend.

Little did they know that the police officer would not live to see that weekend. Watch the video.
