VIDEO: Digicel announces super fast LTE technology in more towns

Digicel is the title sponsor of the Jamaica Manufacturer's Association Expo Jamaica 2018 and the company is promising Jamaicans more access to super-fast internet in diverse places across the island.
According to Justin Morin, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Digicel Jamaica, the company has invested billions to build a state-of-the-art fibre and LTE network, which will help to speed up the internet in remote places in the near future.
Morin, speaking at the opening ceremony of Expo 2018 on Thursday evening, said, "I am very pleased to announce that we are accelerating our roll-out of super-fast LTE mobile technology, spreading broadband connectivity across the island to more people in more places and over the coming months. We will be lighting up the most popular and even remote towns with LTE.”
"This investment is part of our continued commitment to growing internet penetration across the country and thereby increasing learning and earning opportunities and exposing even the smallest business and entrepreneur to a world of opportunities," the Digicel Jamaica CEO said.
According to Morin, bised on studies, this will help to grow the island's GDP.
