The Jamaica Manufacturers' Association's Expo Jamaica 2018 is underway at Independence Park facilities of the National Indoor Sports Centre and the National Arena until Sunday.
Over 300 companies will have products on display during the period and over 600 buyers - more than 200 from overseas - are hoping to close deals for their respective companies.
The first day on Thursday was dedicated solely for the viewing of buyers, with a number of the exhibitors expressing glee at the day's proceedings, with some having already closing deals to have their products distributed in other countries.
This is what members of the Jamaica Manufacturers' Association were looking forward to happening.
Thursday also had an opening ceremony with the Jamaican Folk Singers doing a number of cultural songs and Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Audley Shaw, officially declaring the event open.
