Ann-Marie Vaz was on Sunday presented as the Jamaica Labour Party's representative for Eastern Portland in the next general election, which is scheduled for 2021.

Vaz, who is the wife of West Portland member of parliament and Cabinet minister, Daryl Vaz, said she would put primary focus on attracting tourist dollars to the constituency.

"We have a ready market of over 3 million people that can come into Portland, locals can come and we will facilitate them," she added.

East Portland is currently represented in parliament by Dr Lynvale Bloomfield of the Opposition People's National Party.
