Aubyn Henry, 22,  is well on his way to building a distribution company with a global reach.

Henry is the CEO of Aubyn Distributors, a recently-established distribution company that currently holds two brands under its portfolio, Herny’s Wood Jamaica and Cooyah.

Herny’s Wood Jamaica offers an array of polarised, transition lenses framed in natural wood. Also on offer are a variety of wristwatches.

“We care about sustainability, all of our glasses are handmade. Customers gravitate to our products because they are unique, reliable and are of good quality,” Henry said.

Cooyah is an apparel company known for incorporating Jamaican patois and colours in its designs.

Henry's vision is to distribute products that are either locally made or have a strong Jamaican influence on international markets.

Henry noted that Cooyah has a strong brand at home and abroad and the partnership augers well for Aubyn Distributors.

The young entrepreneur says he’s had a strong interest in running his own company from as long as he could remember.

And so, Henry discontinued his college education in Florida to roll out Herny’s Wood Jamaica, having secured the distributorship deal for Herny’s in the local market.

“My mother was a bit sceptical about me leaving college to start a business. But as a family, we decided that this was an opportunity worth taking,” Henry said.
