Vendor mowed down by taxi on Molynes Road

An injured man is hoisted to a waiting police service vehicle after being mowed down by a taxi on Molyne Road in St Andrew on Wednesday morning.

A male vendor was rushed to hospital on Wednesday morning after he was mowed down by a taxi operator along Molynes Road in St Andrew.

Reports are that approximately 11:45 am, the vendor was riding a bicycle along the busy main road when the taxi, which was heading to Half Way Tree, crashed into the bicycle. The rider was left unconscious.

He was rushed to hospital by member of a police team which was summoned to the area.

The taxi operator fled from the scene.
