UPDATE: Fatal victim of Manchester gun attack identified

The police have released the identity of the man who died after three persons were shot in Christiana, Manchester on Monday.

The deceased is 23-year-old Kevoy Lawrence of Discovery Bay, St Ann.

The two other men who were shot are from Brown's Town, St Ann. Both remain hospitalised.

According to police reports, sometime after 3pm, Lawrence and the two other men went to buy a vehicle in Devon district in Christiana, Manchester, where they were lured to a location.

It is further alleged that passengers travelling in a Nissan Tiida car then opened gunfire, hitting all three men.

The attackers then escaped.

Motorists travelling in the area later saw the body of a man lying on the roadway with what appeared to be bullet wounds.

The police were summoned and they subsequently found two other men nearby, also suffering from gunshot wounds.

The three wounded men were taken to a hospital, where Lawrence was pronounced dead and the other men were admitted for treatment.

Robbery is suspected to have been a motive for the gun attack.
