The police have charged the woman who was held last week trying to register the baby that was stolen from the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in downtown Kingston in January.
The accused has been identified as Petagaye Ffrench, 28, an accountant at a Corporate Area plumbing firm.
Police told Loop News that Ffrench was on Tuesday slapped with child stealing charges.
The police said she was pointed out on an identification parade as the female who was seen on the grounds of the medical facility on the day the newborn child went missing.
