UPDATE: 30 people injured in three-vehicle crash in St James

A three-vehicle collision in St James on Tuesday morning has left 30 people injured.

Reports are that about 8:45 am, a Toyota Hiace bus was overtaking a line of traffic along the Montpelier main road when it collided with a truck, and then with another Hiace bus.

A total of 30 people were taken to hospital.

Police said 15 of the injured have been identified as students from various schools in the parish. The other victims are adults.

Police said two of the victims are in critical condition. One of them is believed to be the driver of one of the buses.
