Under-17 Reggae Girlz and Costa Rica face off today

Jamaica's Under-17 women's team will on Friday host Costa Rica Under-17 in the first game of two international friendly matches at the UWI/JFF Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence, starting at 3:00 pm.

They will face off again  on Sunday at Winchester Park, St George's College, also at 3:00 pm.

Both teams are preparing for upcoming World Cup qualifying tournaments.

The young Reggae Girlz are preparing for the final round of the CONCACAF Caribbean Football Union qualifiers in Haiti from October 16-22.

Jamaica will face off with hosts Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Bermuda, Puerto Rico and Cuba and the top three teams will qualify for the 2018 CONCACAF Women's Under-17 Championship.

The winner of the tournament will be crowned Caribbean Under-17 champions.

The Costa Ricans are preparing for the Central American Zone Qualifiers, also in October, which will qualify the winners for the CONCACAF Championship.
